The Koran

It is important to enlighten ourselves on a religion which is not our own -PRIS-
At our friend Rachid’s home, I sat mesmerized by the TV reading the English version of the Koran.  Being a Christian, I am still always open to learning about new religions, especially Islam. As human beings, we have to question and analyze as Socrates says,"An unexamined life is not worth living."
Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world and one can only wonder why this is.  Rather than just wondering, a person can read, ask questions about it, and have open and honest discussions with Muslims-this is how we learn.
With this said, I love that this channel actually writes all the verses
in Arabic, French, and ENGLISH (Thank you!)
While reading it for over an hour, I felt the similarity with the bible. I felt the importance of “Allah being the ultimate, superior God.” I felt a lot of judgement for those people who are not followers of Allah. It was a confirmation of how Allah is their absolute everything and it is beautiful to witness their love they have for him.
Here are some interesting, thought provoking verses:
Allah causes the day to enter the night and the night to enter the day
Allah is the Free of need, the praiseworthy
He restrains the sky from falling on the earth
Allah is kind and merciful
He is the one who gave you life, he will make you die, and then give you life again
Allah is the most knowing of what you do
Allah will judge between you and the day of resurrection
Allah is powerful and exalted in might
Alllah is hearing and seeing

Lord of Seven layered heavens
Life is not but our worldly life we die, live and are resurrected
Sinners-those who do not believe are punished
We charge no soul except our capacity
But the reward of the Lord is the best
His alteration of the night and day.....
Good words are for good men and men are the objects
of good words and same goes for women
Allah is all encompassing and all knowing
