45 Meets 28

Today at work, I had another great conversation.  So many great, real conversations take place in one simple place teaching English.

We discussed Arab men- Moroccan and Saudi’s.  “Saudi’s and Emirates are way worse than Moroccans.”

“Really? It gets worse than this?”

“Unfortunately yes dear.”

She said that she was engaged to an English man and they were very much in love, but they had to end it due to family disagreements. Well not necessarily family disagreements, but his mother did not want him converting to Islam.  She wanted him to stay Christian and one factor split them apart.  Today, they are still in love and waiting for the mother to die so they can get married. Wow

Once you get to talking about Arabic men, you just can’t stop.  It is pretty fun gossiping about how pathetic, misleading, conflicted, dishonest, and disrespectful they are and how women just keep going back for more.

There is just something irresistible about their dysfunctional, insecure, and defense mechanisms working in full gear. They are sexy, attractive, mysterious, and they leave you wanting more.  They tell you to “Shut up” and something about it you like and you don’t know why.
An important point she made and I agree with is the “Obligation to lie.” Why do these men feel so obliged to lie unnecessarily.  It is pretty much the sociopath coming out of them.  Instead of identifying with the words, feelings, and human emotion-they just speak like they are reading a script.  It is just like being an actor and receiving your first script.  You just do a basic read through without any human contact, set, costume, and makeup.  You just read it through and do not even think through the actual role.

This may not be my best analogy, but I will definitely think of a better one just keep reading=)
