Facing the Facts

Speaking with Mr.Casa’s close friend on the wonderful social networking site, he tells me to just give it “time.” He says that Mr. Casa was just angry, upset, and dealing with stress from work. Neither of us seem to believe it as we both said what we had was amazing. He reassures me it will be "okay" and I feel a bit better. Priscilla holds on to hope because she just misses him dearly.

While I agree with this, I am start to think differently.  If you want someone in your life, you will try and work on it from the beginning.  Our conversation consisted of Mr.Casa telling me his reasons for breaking up and pretty much ending the “discussion.” A discussion is not suppose to be one sided thing, but in the world of Arab men it is one sided. Anything I said after he made his decision was completely disregarded.  I said I would  change my behavior, but there was no room for compromise.

A key fact with men that I have learned is that when they are actually communicating and expressing themselves, you should listen to what they are saying.  Often, women try and rationalize everything and become blinded by feelings and emotion instead of just LISTENING.  He is telling you that he does not want to be with you then guess what he does not want to be with you.  I was in a bit of shock so did have many questions and wanted answers, but I have to respect his decision.
