Some First Observations of Moroccans

September 30- After 15 days in Morocco...
-They have big warm hearts

-They always say “With pleasure” or “Not at all” or “As you like” or “Inchallah”

-They will be cut off when driving and just go on like nothing happened with little anger

-They give real respect and place their hand to their heart when they meet people showing love and thanks

-The respect is present in the daily interaction between real, genuine Moroccans i.e. giving respect to the waitor at the restaurant, the man showing the apartment, the taxi driver, the fruit stand worker- deep, real interactions on a daily basis

-They are smart human beings.  They bring alive the meaning of “street smarts” and the intelligence within interpersonal interaction.  Over 70 percent of our learning is due to our interpersonal interaction, which is good for Moroccans because they cherish the interpersonal interaction.  Education might be down, but interpersonal interaction is up creating learning.
-Their knowledge, stories, and culture is passed on from generation to generation
-The Casa rich are quite flashy and focused on excess materialism and make sure their wealth is known to everyone-sad
